Wearing a pedometer is a great way to monitor how much activity you do everyday. You can also monitor how many calories you burn daily, making it so much easier for you to determine how much weight you need to lose or maintain. With an Omron pedometer you can now get all this information without having to run to a scale or only workout on a gym machine. Conveniently you can have one of these devices on your waist attached to your belt or you can just keep it in your pocket. However you decide to wear your pedometer, you’re good to go.
It’s All in the Sensors
Omron offers a choice of either single or triple sensors in their range of pedometers. Obviously the single sensors aren’t as sensitive and so really all that is measured is your walking steps. Known as a single axis acceleration sensor it is perfect if all you need to do is measure a predetermined set of steps each day. You can have another single sensor model to separately count all your moderate steps.
The dual-axis acceleration sensor models are more popular, though. With this pedometer model, all the movements you do vertically and horizontally are counted. Omron models in this range can also measure aerobic steps in addition to both time and distance for more flexibility. As an added bonus it also has the calorie counting functionality built in. The more advanced dual-axis sensor model even measures the amount of fat burned, as well as includes health management software for easier tracking of your progress.
If you need to measure all of your steps more accurately, go with the Omron pedometer model with the tri-axis acceleration sensor. This pedometer counts steps even when used flat, in addition to vertical and horizontal usage. It also measures moderate steps and minutes aside from the other measurements supplied by other models.
Now for the General Features
Each Omron pedometer stores information for 7 days so you really can monitor and compare your progress. The pedometer resets at midnight so your activity is accurately measured each and every day.
