Introducing the Smooth 5.15 Treadmill Series
The Smooth 5.15 treadmill represents excellent value for money, from a powerful motor which comes with a 10 year continuous duty warranty, to a high quality build and finish, coupled with excellent safety features in a package that is simple to fold up and store. The more recent Smooth 5.15hr treadmill offers a few minor alterations, as does the latest 5.15P. However, any of the Smooth 5.15 treadmill series offers a treadmill with excellent capabilities at reasonable prices.
One of the startling aspects of the Smooth 5.15 treadmill series is that they compare very favorably against other treadmills costing twice to three times as much as the Smooth equivalent. From worm gear incline adjustment, to a lifetime warranty on the steel frame, longer tubes, silent low friction non slip belt, to the excellent PVC coated deck, each Smooth treadmill is guaranteed to give a ride that is, well, smooth.
Of course, the Smooth 5.15 treadmill is not the only one in the Smooth range that you should pay attention to. Moving up the prices there are also the 7.1, and more recently, 7.1hr, as well as the 9.25 which have received wide acclaim.

The main differences from the Smooth 5.15 treadmill at the entry level to the more expensive treadmills are that the 5.15 is the smallest, lightest model, which offers only limited, yet perfectly acceptable heart rate monitoring functionality through the hand grip.
The more expensive models, such as the 7.1 and 7.1hr add a standard monitor and control function for the heart rate monitor, as well as the Power Fold option, which the Smooth 5.15 treadmill does not have. It should be pointed out that the 9.25 is not a folding treadmill, being much too large, but refines every other aspect to make a treadmill that is one of the best available for the price.
Where the 9.25 really wins out against the others is in the wireless heart rate monitor, which provides information to the main console, which in turn automatically adjusts the speed and even the incline to give you the best possible workout. On the other hand, the Smooth 5.15 treadmill, and the 7.1 and 7.1hr models do offer enough feedback for you to adjust these parameters manually.
