Weslo Cadence Treadmill Review

I know a guy who bought a Weslo Cadence LS 8 treadmill. He bought it at Wal-Mart for several hundred bucks last winter. He did shop around for a long time looking for the perfect treadmill and chose the Weslo Cadence treadmill for many reasons. First, it was the most inexpensive treadmill he could find. Many treadmills were several hundred dollars and well out of his price range (but this depends on your budget). He also chose the Weslo Cadence treadmill because of its size. The Cadences is a small, space saver treadmill that can be stored in a corner of your home. It is not very tall or bulky and is less of an eyesore than most treadmills.

The Weslo Cadence treadmill does have a few drawbacks that you should be aware of before purchasing one. The display that keeps track of how far you have run and the time you have been running is powered by two AA batteries. This may not sound like a big deal but you cannot turn the display off without taking one of the batteries out of the back of the display. He has found this to be a little annoying and has to insert the battery before every run and remove it afterwards because he doesn't want to run down the batteries.

The Weslo Cadence treadmill also has a very limiting track. The width of the track is about thirteen inches so you have to be careful of where you are stepping down. It could be very easy to step off of the track because of its modest width. The treadmill also has a short track. It measures about forty-two inches in length and you had better not have a long stride or you will need more of a track than the Weslo Cadence treadmill can provide. Another thing to be aware of is that the motor does not provide a running speed more than six miles per hour. If you want to get an intense run, this is not the treadmill for you.

I recommend the Weslo Cadence treadmill for people of a smaller stature. My friend was about five foot and a half with size ten feet. I think that the Weslo Cadence treadmill is perfect for many women and younger adults but would be very impractical for many men.

I also want to mention that the Weslo Cadence treadmill comes in a box and in pieces. You will have to put it together. He was able to do it himself but my mate is quite good with his hands. It took a bit longer than I would have liked, but he did not need a second person. If you have only a few hundred dollars and want a smaller treadmill that does not have a lot of bells and whistles, the Weslo Cadence treadmill may be for you.
